November 2: A 46-year-old woman died, yesterday, after the maruti van she was driving veered off the road and fell into a gorge at Wangsisina, a few kilometres from Thimphu. The woman died, shortly, after she was admitted to the national referral hospital. She suffered internal injuries. The accident occurred around 7:30 pm.

Four other family members who were also in the vehicle at the time of the accident escaped with minor injuries. They were heading for Paro when the accident occurred.

Meanwhile, another accident took place near Isuna around 8:30 pm, yesterday. A maruti van, again, on its way to Paro collided into a truck coming from the opposite direction.

The driver and two other passengers, including a six year-old boy have been admitted into the Paro hospital. A girl who was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident escaped unhurt.
