September 22:With the Thimphu Tshechu just around the corner, workers are applying the finishing touches at the new Tshechu ground of the Tashichhodzong.

The Tshechu ground, known as the Tendrel Pang, features a three storied gallery for guests and has underground green rooms. The Tendrel Pang will seat more than twenty thousand spectators.

Karma Tshering from the Dzong Maintenance Division told BBS that remaining works on two prayer wheels will be completed in a week’s time.

He also said that the Thimphu Domchoe will be held as usual in the courtyard of the Dzong. The venue of the Tshechu will however will be the Tendrel Pang.

The Thimphu Domchoe begins from 4th of October while the Tsechu will take place on the 9th, 10th and 11th of October.
