Terrorist apprehended

May 6: The Royal Bhutan Police have apprehended a 30-year-old terrorist from a restaurant in Phuentsholing yesterday. Bhim Bhadur Rai is an active member of a militant organization called the United Revolutionary Front of Bhutan.

He was one of the terrorists involved in ambushing and attacking forest personnel in Singye Geog on December 30, 2008. Four forest personnel were killed in the attack.

He was also involved in planting two bombs at Dagapela under Dagana Dzongkhag on January 20 in 2008.

Bhim Bhadur Rai registered himself as a refugee in Beldangi 2 camp in Jhapa, Nepal.
