January 9: To improve customer service, Bhutan Telecom opened a one stop shop in Thimphu town on Monday, January 7. The shop is located opposite the Lugar theatre.

Bhutan Telecom’s one stop shop will provide all sorts of services. Bhutan Telecom customers can pay their telephone bills and internet connection, buy mobile vouchers and get sim cards and other information from the shop.

Bhutan Telecom officials told BBS that similar shops will be opened in other locations in the capital and other dzongkhags depending on the response from the customers.

In winter, the shop will remain open from 12 pm to 6 pm and during the summer the shop will close at 8pm. It will be closed on Tuesday.

On weekend and government holidays the shop will open at 11 am and close by 5pm.
