September 10: The Samtse College of Education will offer Post Graduate Diploma in Education, PGDE from next year.
It will replace the Post Graduate Certificate in Education, PGCE.
The PGCE course was introduced in 1989. With the introduction of the diploma course, the present module will be streamlined.
New courses will also be added to the present course.
Our reporter says the post graduate diploma in education will be validated by the Royal University of Bhutan.
To discuss the approval of the new module and validation a panel comprising of officials from various departments of the Education Ministry met in Samtse last week.
The validation will ensure that the quality and standard of the program fulfills the university’s missions.
