Their only respite from the heat is electric fans. But in times of power failure, residents have no solution.
Our reporter says the scorching heat is not the only problem. The heat brings with it various health problems for the people. Several people are suffering from viral infections like fever, cough, joint pain, headache, and heat rashes. Elderly and small children are complaining of gastric problem because of the electric fans.
According to the District Medical officer the hospital is seeing an increase in the number of patients. He said the most of them are suffering from viral fever and other heat related problems. He said there is no specific treatment for these viral infections.
Meanwhile, some people especially children dip in the rivers to escape the heat. But this too doesn’t come free. They often get sick after swimming.
