July 16: The Royal Institute of Management (RIM) held its 12th convocation yesterday. 222 graduates received certificates in various fields from the Chief Justice Lyonpo Sonam Tobgye at the convocation.
Addressing the gathering Lyonpo Sonam Tobgye said the graduates are entering the civil service at a historic moment- the start of the constitutional democratic monarchy, 100 years of peace and tranquility under the successive monarchs and the coronation of the Fifth Druk Gyalpo.
The graduates have completed Post Graduate Diploma in National Law, Public Administration, and Financial Administration, Diploma in National law, Information Management System, Financial management, Tax and Customs Administration and financial management.
The convocation ceremony was attended by the board of directors of the institute, senior government officials and representatives from the international agencies.
The Royal Institute of Management was established in 1986.
