January 20: The Pazaps led by His Royal Highness Dasho Jigme Dorji Wangchuck has won this year’s national basketball championship. They defeated Jachung in the final match on Saturday, January 19.

The runners-up team was lead by His Royal Highness Dasho Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck.

The match concluded with the Pazaps scoring 90 points and the runners-up team just two baskets behind at 86 points.

Their Royal Highnesses Ashi Sonam Dechan Wangchuck and Ashi Dechen Yangzom Wangchuck were the chief guests at the tournament.

The two week long tournament was held in the capital with 19 teams taking part in it.

The National Basketball Championship is an annual event organized by the Bhutan Basketball Federation.
