February 9: The ECB-sponsored debates between the Party Presidents will be held at the Royal Academy of Performing Arts hall in Thimphu on Sunday, February 10.

The debate will be broadcast LIVE on BBS TV. The commission says there are only limited seats for the audience and they will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis. You will have to be in the hall and seated by 5:45pm. Doors will close at 5:50.

The Election Commission says silence and decorum should be maintained in the hall during the debate. The audience will only observe the debate and are not permitted to ask or raise any questions or concerns.

Nobody will be allowed to go out while the debate is going on. No mobile phones will be allowed inside the debate hall.

The Election Commission will also screen people for weapons and alcohol.
