February 20: The pay revision for parliamentarians will be effective from January 1, 2009 and not from April 1, 2008 as reported earlier.

An office order from the finance ministry to the National Assembly Speaker says the effective date of the pay raise and revised benefits for the members of the parliament should be read January 1, 2009.
