April 4: The People’s Democratic Party will decide the leader of the opposition at the next executive party committee meeting. This was revealed by the Secretary of PDP in an interview to BBS yesterday.
Lam Kezang said PDP’s two elected candidates will not resign from the parliament. Instead Tshering Tobgay of Sombaykha constituency and Damcho Dorji of Goenkhatoe-Laya have been asked by the party to withdraw their resignation letter. He said PDP is working towards a small and strong opposition.
In another development the PDP submitted an appeal to the High Court to investigate into the results of the National Assembly elections yesterday.
