March 4: The DPT candidate for Drujeygang-Tseza constituency in Dagana, Sonam Jamtsho has accused the PDP Drujeygang-Tseza candidate Karma Choden of distributing CDs of a documentary program on the PDP President Sangay Ngedup’s move for health walk.

The PDP President undertook the move for health walk in 2002 when he was the health and education minister. The accusation was made during the ECB sponsored debate between the two candidates.

Election officials said party workers and candidates are not allowed to distribute or screen audio visual programs attributing past achievements of a candidate or individual members of a political party while in government service.

Government offices, NGOs, private organizations and the public are also not allowed to distribute or screen such materials until the elections are over.
