December 23: The President of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Sangay Ngedup has submitted his resignation to the party and the Election Commission of Bhutan.

Speaking to BBS the Opposition Leader Tshering Tobgay in his capacity as a party member confirmed that the PDP’s President has put up his resignation to the party and the Election Commission of Bhutan.

The Opposition Leader added that as required by the Party Charter, they will be calling a party convention soon to discuss new party president.
