PDP President meets the people of Paro |
September 22: The President of People’s Democratic Party, former Agriculture minister Sangay Ngedup is currently in Paro on familiarization tour.
Yesterday he visited Naja and Doga Gewog. On Thursday, the Party President met with the people of Lamgong-Wangchang constituency.
Meeting the people of Dopshari, Dotey, Hungrel, Lamgong, Tsento and Wangchang Gewogs, the President of People’s Democratic Party, former Agriculture Minister Sangay Ngedup introduced the PDP’s Lamgong-Wangchang candidate.
KakaTshering, former Chief Election Officer is the PDP’s candidate from the Lamgong-Wangchang constituency. Speaking at the gathering the PDP’s president said enhancing economic development is the party’s priority.
The President of People’s Democratic Party said it is important for the people to be conscious and mindful at this stage when parliamentary democracy is being started.
The PDP’s candidate Kaka Tshering spoke at the gathering saying the meeting was being held to introduce the party, its workers and its work in other dzongkhags. |
