January 29: A 49-year-old man has been killed on the spot when the maruti van he was travelling in went off the road in Monggar.

The accident took place at around 3:30 pm on January 26 at Chang Changla, 14 kilometers from Gyelposhing. The vehicle fell 200 meters below the road.

Including the deceased, there were six people in the maruti van. Two have been referred to the national referral hospital in Thimphu and three escaped with minor injuries.
