July 12: If you perform well in studies while attending undergraduates program then you need not worry about competing for jobs after your graduation. Potential employers are going to recruit you in what is known as on campus even before you finish your graduation.

The Bank of Bhutan called 25 top students of Sherubtse College for on campus recruitment yesterday. The students from various streams were briefed about the future of banking and financing by the CEO of DHI Karma Younten. He said the corporate culture and management is changing with the need for financing for mega projects.

The managing director of BOB, Kuenga Tshering said on campus recruitment is aimed at getting the best students and not to wait till they graduate. He said it is better to go to the campuses and find those who are performing well and try to entice them to work with them.

Following the briefing, the students sat for a written test and an interview. The best five will be selected. The managing director of BOB, Kuenga Tshering said if they are willing to work for the bank then they will be given intensive induction training course on banking procedure and new business area and financing.

The students who came for the BOB’s on campus recruitment said if selected they will not have to worry about finding jobs.

The Bank of Bhutan said it has plans to find the best Bhutanese students studying in colleges in India for on campus recruitment in future.
