June 24: Although BBS will not be allowed to broadcast the National Assembly session Live, it will be allowed to cover the entire session of the National Council Live. The decision to allow BBS to broadcast the whole session of National Council live was made after the National Council members met today.

The chairperson of the National Council Namgye Penjore conveyed the decision to the BBS this afternoon.

The decision by the National Assembly not to allow Live broadcast has not gone down well with the public.

Many of them have expressed disappointment on online discussion forums as well as in interviews with BBS. They said it will restrict transparency and accountability.

BBS will only be allowed to broadcast Live selected discussions and deliberations like the opening of the National Assembly session and the closing ceremony.
