August 28: His Holiness the Je Khenpo is presiding over the annual Moenlam Chenmo prayers in Haa Dzongkhag. Hundreds of devotees from Haa Dzongkhag are attending the weeklong World Peace prayers which began yesterday morning at the Lhakhang Karpo.

His Holiness the Je Khenpo also consecrated the new Choekhang yesterday. It was constructed with funds from the Moenlam Tshogchen and also with contribution from the public.

Upon arrival in Haa on Tuesday, His Holiness was received by the Lam Neten, the Drangpoen, Dzongkhag Administration, armed force officials and community leaders. Students and teachers of Ugyen Dorji Higher Secondary School were also present.

On the first week of September, His Holiness will perform Tangra Goenbai Tongtsho, consecrate a Thongdroel of Lam Drakpa Jamtsho and administer throm wang to the public.

This is the 8th Moenlam Chenmo to be organized in Haa Dzongkhag.
