January 29: Police have detained a 21-year-old man for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Pangserbu village under Drujeygang geog in Dagana.

The incident reportedly took place on January 26 while she was returning from a neighbour’s house.

The accused was fined Nu. 36, 000 for involvement in a rape case in 2007.
