October 12: The 7th national job fair yesterday announced 500 job vacancies for immediate recruitment and another 1100 vacancies for recruitment in the next few months.
However many job seekers were dissatisfied. They said most employers want people with experience. This, they said, is not fair because most of the job seekers are fresh out of school or college with little or no experience.
The daylong fair in the capital was attended by thousands of job seekers.
In his opening address, the Labour and Human Resource Minister Lyonpo Dorji Wangdi said the government will create 75,000 jobs by the end of the 10th Five Year Plan.
40 organisations mainly from private and corporate sectors took part in the fair.
