Information centres for Coronation and Centenary celebrations established

Any queries you have during the Coronation and Centenary celebrations, you just have to look for the kiosk, which will serve as help centres.

Ten of these structures will be used in different Dzongkhags, four in Thimphu, two at the Chunzom Checkpost, one in Paro, one in Punakha, one in Trongsa and one in Phuentsholing.

The help centres in Thimphu are located in Changjiji, Motithang, Dechencholing and the weekend vegetable market.

IT services such as telephone, fax, medical and other utility services will be provided at the help centres. It will be manned by representatives from relevant agencies and volunteers.

It was constructed especially for the Coronation and Centenary celebrations. The project was initiated by the volunteers sub committee of the National Steering Committee for Coronation and Centenary celebrations.

Bachu Phub of the Royal Civil Service Commission is the member secretary of the volunteers sub committee. He told BBS that once the celebrations are over, the structures will be converted as one-stop centres for payment of various bills.

The help centres were constructed at a cost of Nu. seven million with funds form the volunteers sub committee.
