September 22:The two day border coordination meeting with the State government of Assam and the government of Bhutan ended yesterday. The meeting was held in Bongaigoan in Assam.

The Bhutanese delegation was led by the Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs Dasho Tshering Wangda. Officials from included Dzongkhag administration , forestry, police and custom also participated in the meeting.

The State government of Assam’s delegation was led by the Home Commissioner Rajiv Bora.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dasho Tshering Wangda said that the discussions will further help promote the relations between the two governments.

The Home Commissioner of the state government of Assam Rajiv Bora said border coordination meetings have become instrumental for promoting trust and confidence between the two countries.
