November 2:
A 46-year-old woman died, yesterday, after the maruti van she was driving veered off the road and fell into a gorge at Wangsisina, a few kilometres from Thimphu. The woman died, shortly, after she was admitted to the national referral hospital. She suffered internal injuries. The accident occurred around 7:30 pm.


November 2: Coinciding with the 2nd anniversary of the Coronation of His Majesty the King, the Ministry of Education on behalf of National Steering Committee for Coronation Celebration launched two books titled, "Moments in time" and "Our King is Crowned". The books were launched by Her Royal Highness the Princess Ashi Sonam Dechan Wangchuck yesterday.

His Majesty the King met with the families of those affected by the disastrous fire in Chamkhar town. His Majesty the King said that he was deeply worried when he heard the news while in Delhi in India. His Majesty expressed his sadness on the tragic loss of two lives and concern for the people who were left homeless and emotionally distressed.


October 31: Over 370-year-old choretn at Do-kha kay Goenpa in Chapcha Geog under Chhukha Dzongkhag is finally restored after it was hit by a landslide. The chorten was consecrated today. It was consecrated by Trulku Ugyen Droduel Thinley Kuenchab from Paro.


October 31: Zimdra emerged the winner of the 3rd Coronation Archery Tournament in the finals played today. Zimdra won two straight game set and defeated Dungsam Chuchi.

October 29: His Majesty arrived in the Kingdom from a nine day visit to India this afternoon. In India, His Majesty was received with great warmth by the people and the government of India.
