December 18: His Majesty the King granted an audience to the Ambassador of Switzerland to Bhutan Mr. Dominique Dreyer today at the Tashichhodzong.

Ambassador Dreyer is in the Kingdom on a three day farewell visit. He was appointed as the Ambassador to India, Bhutan and Nepal in October 2004.

Earlier this morning, the Ambassador called on the Foreign Minster Lyonpo Ugyen Tshering.

Ambassador Dreyer joined the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in 1972. He served as the third and second secretary to the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing and served as the Minister in Embassy of Switzerland in Japan, France and China.

He also served in various posts in the Department of Foreign Affairs before he was appointed as Ambassador to India, Bhutan and Nepal.
