His Majesty grants audience to Dutch Prince and Princess
October 30: His Majesty the King granted audience to His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange and Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands at the Tashichodzong yesterday.
His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange and Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands arrived in the kingdom on a four day royal visit on October 28.
Prince William-Alexander, the eldest child of Queen Beatrix, is first in line of succession to the throne. Prince William-Alexander who was born in 1967 holds four ranks in the armed services.
The Prince is married to Princess Máxima.
While in the Kingdom they will meet Bhutanese officials including young policy makers and entrepreneurs.
The 37-member royal delegation will also visit places of cultural and historical interest in Thimphu and Paro during the next four days.
They also witnessed the autumn archery tournament at the Changlimithang yesterday afternoon.
Their Royal Highnesses will be leaving the kingdom on Wednesday.
