December 26: His Majesty the King awarded the Red Scarf to the Chairperson of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Dasho Neten Zangmo at the Tashichhodzong this morning.
Dasho Neten Zangmo was born in 1961 and pursued her studies both within and outside Bhutan.
She has a Master’s Degree in Technical education from the United Kingdom. She has held several important portfolios in the government in a career that started off as a national service trainee in 1985.
Dasho Neten Zangmo also served as a lecturer and principal of the then Royal Bhutan Polytechnic Institute in Deothang and the Royal Technical Institute, in Rinchending, Phuentsholing.
Dasho Neten also worked as the Director of the Planning Commission and as the Cabinet Secretary and the Foreign Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Dasho Neten Zangmo was appointed as the Chairperson of the Anti-Corruption Commission in 2006.
On the occasion of the historic Centenary National Day, Dasho Neten Zangmo was granted the Druk Thuksey by His Majesty the King.
