July 19: His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed 38-year-old Phub Dorji as the Principal for the Daga Tashicholing monastery in Dagana. His Holiness awarded Tashi Khadhar earlier today.

Phub Dorji is from Khagochen village under Kana geog in Dagana. He joined the monk body at the age of eight in Daga Trashiyangtse Dratshang. Later, he joined Tango Shedra. He has also undergone a three year retreat.

Prior to his appointment as the Principal of Daga Tashicholing monastery, Phub Dorji worked as a senior teacher at Talo Sangacholing Shedra.
