September 3: Thousands of devotees gathered at the Lhakhang Karp in Haa received blessings from His Holiness the Je Khenpo yesterday. The blessing marked the end of the weeklong annual Moenlam Chenmo prayers.

The weeklong Moenlam Chemmo or the World Peace Prayers at the Lhakhang Karp in Haa began last Wednesday.

His Holiness the Je Khenpo presided over the annual Moenlam Chenmo prayers.

Hundreds of devotees from Haa Dzongkhag attended the prayers.

During the weeklong prayers, His Holiness performed Tangra Goenbai Tongtsho, consecrated a Thongdroel of Lam Drakpa Jamtsho and administered throm wang to the public.

Lam Ugyen Dorji of Jabana said the Thongdroel of Lam Drakpa Jamtsho was constructed to commemorate the centenary of monarchy, establishment of democracy and for the long life of their Majesties the Kings.

This is the 8th Moenlam Chenmo to be organized in Haa Dzongkhag.
