December 8: The price of petrol has decreased by Nu. 4.45 per litre. And the price of diesel has decreased by Nu. 1.89. The price cut came into effect from Sunday.

With the reduction in the fuel price, petrol now costs Nu. 43 per litre. Diesel costs Nu. 32.88 a litre.

The fuel price cut follows price reduction in India. Bhutan imports all its petroleum products from India.

The fuel price cut is the first in nearly a year after one of the highest fuel price hike in June this year. The fuel price cut was welcomed by all including Taxi drivers. Most said the price drop will benefit their business.

Meanwhile, the prices of kerosene and LPG will remain the same.
