January 30:UPDATE The Department of Trade has announced a drop in the price of petrol and diesel in western Bhutan following a reduction in fuel price in India.
The price of petrol has dropped by Nu.4 Ch. 46 and diesel by Nu. 1 Ch. 89 a litre.
A liter of petrol will now cost Nu.38 Ch. 53 and a litre of diesel will cost Nu. 30 Ch. 97.
In Monggar the price of petrol has decreased by Nu. 4 Ch. 43 and diesel by Nu. 1 Ch. 89. Likewise in Trongsa, the cost of petrol has gone down by Nu. 4 Ch. 43 and Nu. 1 Ch. 87 for diesel.
The new price came into effect from today. The price of LPG cooking gas has also gone down by Nu. 30 Ch. 56 in Thimphu.
