The final rehearsal of the entertainment and cultural programmes for the coronation celebration of His Majesty the King at the Changlimithang ground was held yesterday, November 3.

One of the biggest attractions during the celebration at the Changlimithang ground will be the symbolic presentation of Thri buel to His Majesty the King.

Two elephants and one calf, three horses with gold, silver and leather saddles, two mithuns, two jatshams and two cows and calves and two white sheep with lambs will parade through the Changlimithang ground. The Thri Buel will also consist of three spoons, nine bags of Dru-na guu, and five bales of Zongchang.

The rich cultural diversity and harmony of the Bhutanese society will also be showcased during the celebrations. These will include songs, dances and entertainment programs by the students, people and performers from different parts of the country.

Hundreds of people, both young and old, flocked to witness the rehearsal at the Changlimithang ground.

The biggest attractions for most of the people however was the elephants parading and saluting.
