December 25: Three Election Commissioners from India arrived in the country for the National Council elections yesterday.

They are Mr. R.R. Rashmi, Commissioner, Finance and Chief Electoral Officer from Manipur, Ms. Anita Karwal Mission Director from Gujarat and Ms. Y.V. Anuradha, Director, Women Development and Child Welfare of Andhra Pradesh.

They are here to observe the National Council elections and see if they are conducted in a free and fair manner.

Participation of International observers in the elections is in keeping with the provisions of the Election Bill and the National and International Observer Guidelines for the Kingdom of Bhutan.
