March 18: In Trashiyangtse, a mail bag containing eight postal ballot applications, Nu. 8,500 in cash, and official letters from the Dzongkhag administration has been reported missing from February 9. The eight postal ballot applications belong to civil servants in Trashiyangtse.

Our reporter Dorji Dema says the postal ballot applications and letters were sent to be delivered to Trashigang post office the same day.

The Assistant Post master of Trashiyangtse Kuenzang told our reporter that the bag was sent through Wangmo transport, the only public transport to Trashigang from Trashiyangtse. He said it was immediately reported to the Regional Office in Samdrup Jongkhar.
