Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s president completes familiarization tour of Pema Gatshel |
September 26: The Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s President has completed his familiarization tour of Pemagatshel after visiting Nanglam Dungkhag yesterday evening .
Next morning the former Lyonpo Jigmi Thinley met the people of Norbugang gewog at Nangshing Borang Community primary school. More than 300 people gathered for the meeting.
He met the people of Chokhorling gewog on Sunday. Addressing the voters of Chokhorling on Sunday, he said connecting the gewog with road and electricity is a priority.
The president of the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa said five Lhakhangs in Chokhorling gewog need renovation.
Some of the people said one of the problems they are facing is not being able to pay for their excess land.
He informed the people that His Majesty will visit every village personally and look into the matter as announced by His Majesty during the 87th session of the National Assembly.
During the tour, the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s candidate for the Khar Yurung constituency Dasho Zangley Drukpa and the candidate for Nanglam constituency Choida Jamtsho were also introduced.
Today, the president will go to Samdrupjongkhar.
In the 2008 elections, the people of Pema Gatshel will send three members from their dzongkhag to the National Assembly. |
