November 3: D’cold tablet, a medicine which is used for common cold, sore throat, nasal congestion, headache, and body ache is no more available for sale in the clinic or medical shops.
The Drugs Regulatory Authority of the ministry of health has informed the pharmaceutical shops to stop selling D’cold tablets.
Officials from the Drugs Regulatory Authority said the medicine contains a drug substance which is known to cause side effects like heart attack, hyper tension and high blood pressure.

The Drugs Regulatory Authority will soon issue a notification letter banning the sale of D’cold tablets.
Some of the owners of medical shops in the capital said they have been informed not to sell D’cold tablets but customers come to buy them.
Officials from the Drugs Regulatory Authority said, besides D’cold tablet, they will also like to raise caution amongst the general public about other pharmaceutical products which contains the substance.
