The meeting was attended by recent university graduates, high school students, and school leavers.
The participants pointed out employment opportunities as their biggest concern. They said the unemployment rate is increasing and jobs are becoming increasingly competitive. One after another, they rose up to ask what the party plans to do about it. They said, from school going students to university graduates, they are concerned about jobs.
With thousands of students graduating from high schools and colleges every year, the prospect of remaining unemployed is staring them in the face, they said.
The participants also raised concerns about substance abuse and other youth related problems.
Party
officials said with the civil service now saturated, private sector will have to absorb the majority of the youth. To do that the private sector must be further developed they said.
