DPT meets people of Ada, Daga gewogs and Rubi Chiwog in Wangdi

November 8: Bhutanese voters should come together and discuss about the democratization process and the change in the system of governance said the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa President Jigmi Thinley. He was speaking to the people of Ada gewog, Daga gewog and Rubi Chiwog in Wangduephodrang.

More than 230 people gathered at Kamichu on Tuesday morning to attend the Druk Phuensum Tshogpa meeting.

Our reporter Kinzang Yeshey says many people walked for more than six hours to make to the DPT meeting at Kamichu. The people of Ada geowg had to come a day earlier and camp at Kamichu.

Speaking to the gathering, the DPT President Jigmg Thinley said it is important for the people to understand the party manifestos and their constituency candidates if they want to elect the right government. He urged the people not to yield to the promises, threats and bribes by the political parties.

The Party’s candidate Selection Coordinator, Yeshey Zimba briefed the gathering on the secret ballot highlighting the voter’s rights and responsibilities in electing the government.

The party’s Ada-Thetso candidate retired Major Passang Thinley was introduced to the gathering.

Later in the afternoon more than 200 people from Gasey Tshogom and Gase Tsowom attended the DPT meeting at Gaselo middle secondary school.
