December 8: The Druk Holdings and Investments (DHI) have appointed new board of directors for 12 companies under it.

In some cases, it has also appointed new Managing Directors. This was announced by the chairperson of the Druk Holdings and Investments former Trade and Industry Minister Om Pradhan.

DHI has approved the establishment of Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC), which will initially have three major projects under its purview. That is the Chukha, Kurichu and the Basochu Hydro Power Corporations.

The Managing Director of the Bhutan Power Corporation has been appointed as the Managing Director of Druk Green Power Corporation. He will be succeeded as the Managing Director of Bhutan Power Corporation by Bharat Tamang, a specialist in the Department of Energy.

Sangay Gyaltshen has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Natural Resources Development Corporation. Sangay Gyaltshen currently works for Geology and Mines.

Kinga Tshering has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Bank of Bhutan.
