September 25:The coronation cup archery tournament began today at the archery range in Changbangdu in Thimphu. A record 38 teams are taking part in the tournament.

According to the officials from Bhutan Archery Federation, teams from Phuntsholing, Gelephu, Paro, Punakha, Wangdi and Thimphu are participating in the tournament.

This year’s tournament is dedicated to the coronation of His Majesty the King. Two matches are being played simultaneously.

The winning team will receive trophies worth more than one hundred thousand Ngultrums. The runners up will receive trophies worth more than seventy thousand ngultrums. The final is scheduled on 31st October and 1st of November.
