Coaster buses to replace present fleet of city buses
December 8: People in the capital who use the city bus service everyday will soon be able to travel in better more comfortable buses.
Bhutan Post which is operating the city bus service is replacing the present fleet of buses with brand new coaster buses.
The Bhutan Post says it will replace the existing buses with 12 brand new coaster buses. The 12 new coaster buses are expected to arrive by Febuary end next year.
The buses are actually being bought to ferry people during the centenary celebrations. But it will replace the existing city buses after the celebrations are over.
The General Manager of Bhutan Post Sangay Norbu said they hope to encourage more people to travel by the city bus service and help ease traffic congestion in the capital city. He said currently not many are intrested to travel by city bus.
