CSCE results declared

January 25: The results of the 2008 Civil Service Common Examination (CSCE) was declared yesterday. A total of 806 candidates appeared for the examination out of which 594 sat for the General Graduates examination, 186 in Technical and 26 in Dzongkha.

Dorji Khandu a Geography Honours graduate from Sherubtse College topped the General Graduate’s examination with 69.39%.

Passang Tshering a B.Sc Agriculture graduate from C.S. Azad University in India topped the Technical Graduates category. He scored 75.36%.

In the Dzongkha, Kunzang Dorji from the Tango Buddhist College scored the highest at 68.53%.

The selection and placement will take place on January 29 and January 30.

The RCSC says graduates who are not satisfied with their results can appeal to the RCSC within 10 working days.

The Chief Human Resource Officer of RCSC Kinley Yangzom said this is the highest number of graduates to appear for the Civil Service Common Examination.
