February 5: A bomb exploded behind the Renewable Natural Resources (RNR) office in Yoeseltse gewog under Samtse Dzongkhag after midnight on February 3.

The police investigation team from Samtse found another two unexploded bombs behind the RNR and the Gup’s office in the same compound.

The RNR office was used as a polling booth during the National Council election and the Returning Officer and the National Observer for the forthcoming National Assembly election in March are residing in the Gup’s office.

A police spokesman said that they had recovered leaflets of the Communist Party of Bhutan based in Nepal from the scene who are threatening to stop the National Assembly elections in March.
