March 21: One bomb explosion in Pasakha and two bomb explosions in Sipsu have been reported yesterday.
A bomb exploded in the bushes behind the petrol pump at Pasakha under Chukha district at 9.45 am yesterday.
The United Revolutionary Front of Bhutan (URFB) had claimed responsibility for the earlier bomb blasts on the petrol pump and the electric tower in Pasakha during the past one week.
A bomb also exploded at Belbotey village under Sipsu gewog in Samtse district at 1.15 p.m. Another explosion took place in the same spot at 1.53 p.m when the Samtse Dzongda, Sipsu Police Officer incharge and National Election Observer were inspecting the site.
The splinters from the second explosion caused minor injuries to the police officer in-charge.
