February 3: Two men were killed in an accident in Tsirang on February 1. The accident took place at around five in the evening. The driver and another male passenger were killed on the spot.

The Bolero car was heading towards Tsirangtoe, when it went off the road at Kokray. It plunged about 1,500 feet below the road.

The accident also left another five passengers injured.

Two of them have been referred to the national referral hospital in Thimphu. They have fractured arms and legs. The other three are undergoing treatment in Damphu hospital.

Another three passengers escaped unhurt. The cause of the accident is not known.
